Iranian contemporary art has always attempted to portray an ideal state of currant time, though it is a mirror of an accelerated, excited and unsupported situation; a complex and chaotic production of concepts, theories and art history topics without considering the historical, cultural, geographical and political differences and similarities.
Due to the acceleration of events and happenings in the contemporary world and in Iran, we must see what the status of art in Iran would be and how can things be analyzed and interrupted with such speed; the route which its nature is to study and process and going deep into the life and time and then turning it into the language of art. By the way, the situation of art education has also helped this.
You can slip on the surface and not even give a moment to the mind to think and contemplate, as same as what is happening in Iran’s contemporary art; a production machine named as artist is taught to present his products in hurry and in a safe place only for a limited number of people and in spaces more limited. It seems that the artist is living others’ interpreted dreams which he has neither dreamed it himself, nor its interpretation is awaiting him.
