The story of this series is that I was working on my thesis, and I had some prints of Davood Emdadian’s works installed on my room’s walls. As I live in Rasht, these prints were folding due to the humidity. That is what I noticed after some time and found it interesting. The curves caused in the papers and the shadow below the works caught my attention. Because of the effect of humidity on the papers, parts of the prints were masked and I could not see more than one third or two thirds of the works from one perspective. So, I decided to represent this and deal with them again in a new way, and show the audience how good this incomplete part of the work can be.
This is how the idea was born and completed. After I finished the work, I named the collection “Davood”, that refers to the name of the artist himself.
The main works are in large scales, but mine are small; a contradiction that was interesting and pleasant for me.
