The idea of this project started since June 2019, after working on some solos from Iranian music masters, and translating them on Qanun instrument. Now I had to bring my findings from this vast world into a collection and raise them. A garden should have been made from these newly bloomed bums in my mind.
Playing this instrument which has a significant position in Iranian old music, but yet just a little more than half a century has passed since its reappearance in this land and there is still rarely a trace of us, our history and our culture in its historical memory, there was a path opened for me and every moment of this path was tied to learnings.
I learned how to narrate and how to simultaneously be the narrator of the past and present, and how to narrate life. For the first time, I got closer to the voices, and my constant fears of putting notes together and creating melodies were disappearing.
This album was the beginning of a new chapter for me in these years that I was studying music; the first step to fulfill my dreams, and a reason to bring my instrument to a position it deserves, which I shall work for it even more than before.
